Instrumental Showcase for Festival '20

MAMTG's Instrumental Showcase an exciting performance opportunity to perform live for an audience and receive feedback from an adjudicator. Students of percussion, woodwinds and brass may perform live as a soloist for an audience. Each performing student will receive a scorecard with feedback from an adjudicator. Instrumental Showcase is a non-competitive performance. Feedback on scorecards will include: Tone, Note Accuracy, Rhythm, Tempo, Articulation, Pitch, Dynamics, Expression, Preparedness and Overall Musicianship.

Instrumental Showcase Performance Guidelines
Students should arrive early to allow for time to tune and warm-up. Students should ensure their instrument is functional and working properly, with all the accessories needed to have a successful performance. If a performer desires an accompanist, it's the student's and/or teacher's responsibility to provide an accompanist for their performance. Students performing with an audio accompaniment need to bring their device/player with connecting cables for a PA system. Students are to perform one song or selection within a 5-minute time limit. Students may stand or sit for the performance. A music stand will be provided in the performance room. Sheet music or a music book is allowed for the performance. The adjudicator should be presented and provided with a clean published copy of the performance music. No illegible photocopies.
